Stop Press: Nato appoints BBC’s Laity as Shea’s deputy

Nato has appointed a deputy to spokesman Jamie Shea. BBC defence correspondent Mark Laity joins the eight-strong press service at Nato’s Brussels headquarters at the beginning of March. His new role will combine briefing journalists on defence and diplomatic matters, with advising secretary-general George Robertson on the communications aspects of European and transatlantic security.
