Brando wins social media brief with Virgin Trains to promote zombie campaign

Brando has been appointed to lead a four-month PR and social media campaign for Virgin Trains to help promote its new Don't Go Zombie campaign.

The new advertising campaign, created by fellow Cossette agencies Elvis and MCBD, aims to 'demonize' other forms of transport, in particular car and plane.
Brando will provide social media strategy consultancy and traditional media outreach to build awareness for the campaign.

In what is a new look and feel for Virgin Trains, the campaign sees regular people turning in zombies with the frustration of commuting.

It aims to further support the overall brand idea, 'Where do you want to be?', which sets out to illustrate that travelling by Virgin Trains offers customers an enriched, time effective journey.

Mandy Sharp, Brando’s managing partner, who is leading the account, said: ‘We love the quirkiness of the new campaign. It’s impactful yet humorous and the zombie theme provides great social media currency for us to work with.’
