The United Nations has enlisted David Finn, chairman and CEO of

Ruder Finn, to pitch film and TV concepts about the organisation to

Hollywood.

The move is part of a growing initiative by UN secretary-general Kofi

Annan to create a more positive public profile for the UN, along with

media guidelines which are currently being formalised (PR Week, 20

August).

is to put the organisation in the centre of the mainstream media. Finn,

who is consulting on a pro bono basis, acknowledged that he has been in

contact with film studios and TV networks.
