Flack: Bite Communications celebrate 15th birthday

The team from Bite Communications was in stratospheric spirits last week as it took to Centre Point's 33rd floor club Paramount to celebrate the agency's 15th birthday.

After several of the bespoke Biteini cocktails, Bite director Tom Berry was seen doing 'the caterpillar' encircled by a Run DMC-style dance troupe. The dancing raged into the early hours, assisted by gyrating MD Kath Pooley, who began conscripting bar loiterers with the words 'our dance floor needs you!' ...

Meanwhile, ex-footballer and part-time Lionel Richie impersonator Chris 'unbelievable Jeff' Kamara is no more. Resonate's Gavin Lewis convinced him to change his name by deed poll to Chris 'Cabanga' (Zula for 'imagine' apparently) for client Texaco. Not to be outdone in the World Cup PR stakes, sexual health charity Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) press released a plea for pubs to make sure their condom machines were fully stocked because of the 'increased demand'. The regional press printed a curious quote from a 'spokesperson' at garden centre chain Dobbies. The chain has started selling hens, apparently evidence of 'a backlash against big supermarkets'. Which will be interesting news to the owner of Dobbies - local cornershop business, er, Tesco ...
