M&G appoints Ramos; Lehmann acquires MAA Media.

M&G, the Prudential-owned pension fund, has recruited Stephanie Ramos as deputy head of corporate comms. She will take responsibility for the PR strategy and activities across the UK and Europe to support M&G's retail business, reporting directly to Richard Miles, director of corporate communications. Ramos joins from Threadneedle, where she was head of PR covering the UK, Europe, Asia and the US.

Lehmann Communications has acquired DAA Media, the UK-based directory advertising specialists. DAA Media MD Becky Daw joins the agency as MD, advertising, and will continue to work on existing clients such as Asda, Honda and Royal Mail.

Libby Trace, the former managing director of Price Trace Hawes, has been appointed as head of financial services in VMA Group's London office. She has more than 20 years' recruitment experience, with more than ten years at board level. She has previously handled large-scale assignments for clients including Barclays, Lloyds TSB, HSBC and the RBS.

The Consumer Financial Education Body has signed up Kate Humphris to head its communications. She was previously head of consumer affairs at the Financial Services Authority and will look after all media relations and marketing activity, including corporate and internal communications.

Cabot Financial has appointed Tina Carter as PR and marketing manager. She will report directly to group chief executive Ken Maynard and be responsible for all aspects of PR and marketing in the UK.
