BORDER LINES: DUBLIN - Government adviser joins O’Herlihy

Former Irish department of agriculture and food policy adviser Martin Long has joined Bill O’Herlihy Communications as an associate director.

Martin Long has joined Bill O’Herlihy Communications as an associate

director.



He will report to CEO Bill O’Herlihy and deputy managing director Fiona

Gillespie and work on accounts including mobile phone company Eircell

and LUAS, the proposed light railway network for Dublin, which is about

to go through a public inquiry. Long, 29, previously worked for the

ministers for food and for horticulture on research and media relations.

He said: ’Transport and telecom are areas of radical change in the short

term in Ireland so it’s going to be an exciting challenge.’
