Edelman names new director of digital

Edelman has appointed Robin Hamman as director of digital in its London office. Hamman joins from social business agency Headshift, where he was social media practice lead. He officially started his role this week and reports to Edelman's MD of digital Marcus Dyer.

Automotive PR, the global automotive PR firm, has recruited Anthony Smith as technology consultant. Smith brings more than ten years of automotive PR industry experience following a period of running his own consultancy. He will work on existing accounts and winning new business.

Innocent, the leading smoothie maker, has launched an outreach programme to parents online with the support of digital PR agency Shiny Red. The agency will raise awareness of the company's kids range. It kicked off the campaign with a day allowing blogging parents to bring their children to Innocent's HQ to take part in a variety of activities.

CentraStage, the IT remote device management software provider, has selected Jargon Public Relations as its retained agency following a competitive pitch. The agency will manage the IT firm's UK comms programme. The PR drive will use both onand offline media to position the company as a global market contender.

Maytech, the FTP hosting provider, has chosen Berkeley PR for a UK public relations programme to raise awareness in the run-up to a sales drive. The agency will devise a thought leadership campaign in the IT press to discuss the issues associated with the secure transfer of data over the internet.
