Edelman merges corporate and financial teams as Pamela Fieldhouse joins FD

Edelman is planning to merge its corporate and financial practices after the departure of its corporate head to FD.

Pamela Fieldhouse, a member of the agency's leadership team, has been MD of Edelman's corporate practice for the past five years.

She will join FD as MD of international corporate communications and will be responsible for developing FD's roster of clients.

From July, Edelman's corporate and financial teams will become one division specialising in stakeholder engagement, senior management counsel, investor relations, crisis and issue management, employee engagement and sustainability.

Edelman has named current public affairs chief Alex Bigg as group MD of the newly merged practice. He will be supported by Nick Barron and Scott Thomson who are promoted to deputy MDs, while Jo Sheldon is promoted to MD within the practice.
