Public Affairs: The week in Lobbying

- Insight Public Affairs has hired European Consumers' Organisation head of communications Dave McCullough as an account director. He will relocate to London from Brussels, where he has been based for the past four years. Prior to taking up the top communications role at BEUC, McCullough was head of media for the Liberal Democrat MEPs in the European Parliament.

- Cicero Consulting has appointed Association of British Insurers policy adviser Ben Stafford as account director. A former financial services journalist, he has worked as a policy adviser at the ABI from 2006 to 2010.

- Four Communications has devised and launched Twung Parliament - a online guide to all MPs using the social media platform Twitter. The agency's public affairs practice director Jim Dickson said: 'Like the rest of the world, MPs have started to embrace social media channels like Twitter. We're launching Twung Parliament so we can all keep an eye, simply, on what MPs are tweeting about by party and as a whole.' To visit the site, go to twungparliament.com

- The European Centre for Public Affairs held its 'UK summer seminar' this week. The event took place at Edelman's headquarters in London.
