PUBLIC SECTOR: Hayman moves to head British Library PR

Greg Hayman is leaving the New Millennium Experience Company to join the British Library as its PR head. Hayman takes up the post from the end of September and will be in charge of developing the library’s PR, which includes internal communication to the 2,000 strong staff, overseeing the five-strong press team based in London and its north of England press office in Boston. Hayman will face issues such as ongoing criticism of the library’s recent revamp and the charging of entrance fees to the reading room, as well as promoting new acquisitions. He will report to chief executive Brian Lang and is a direct replacement for Marie Jackson, who left in May to head communications at Middlesex University.
