and Render after a three-way pitch involving First Financial and Charles

Barker.

The corporate and consumer PR brief will last a year and carries fees

over pounds 100,000, including some project work.

Saga Services was set up by the fourth-largest privately owned company

in the UK, the Saga Group, in 1987, to offer financial products to the

over-50s.

Sue Laybourne, a director at Kinross and Render, said: ’There are 12

million people over 50 in the UK and one in every three households is a

Saga Group customer.’

Kinross and Render is looking to raise awareness of Saga’s motor, home

and private medical insurance, as well as its share dealing service.

Saga wishes to build upon its public profile, which is predominantly as

a travel company for the over-50s.
