Children’s television company Fox Kids Europe is launching a new

communications structure in a bid to centralise all PR and investor

relations activities.

The cable and satellite TV channel has merged its existing IR and PR

departments into one unit, creating a new senior position to head the

team and spearhead its pan-European IR drive.

Fox Kids chief financial officer Martin Weigold said: ’The main

objectives of this re-organisation of the company’s PR and investor

relations activities are to facilitate further the efficient

communication of the company’s expanding aims to investors and to

promote the Fox Kids Europe brand through all forms of media.

’Our existing in-house team in those areas is a strong one, but it is

now the appropriate time to build on and consolidate those strengths for

the benefit of the company.’

The new structure will comprise a press office and an IR unit under the

overall charge of the yet-to-be-recruited director of investor relations

and communications, who will report directly to chairman and chief

executive officer Ynon Kreiz and Weigold.

Fox Kids hopes the new PR and IR heads will develop links with the

media, analysts, investors and journalists worldwide.

Louise Drabwell will lead the press office as head of press and

publicity, UK and corporate, supported by a two-strong team.
