RPPR secures Buy and Fly business after Air Miles exit

RPPR, which until earlier this year handled PR for Air Miles, has

picked up the account for its main market rival.

The agency, created by the merger of Rosalyn Palmer PR and Hill Murray

Rogerson three months ago, lost the Air Miles business to Jackie Cooper

PR in January. It has now been hired by Buy and Fly, Air Miles largest

competitor, to handle consumer PR on annual fees of more than pounds

100,000.

The account will be headed by agency MD Rosalyn Palmer and senior

account manager Sarah Neale. They report to Michael Crompton, chairman

of Landround, the AIM-listed travel promotions firm which runs Buy and

Fly.

Crompton, together with sales director Tina Mills handled the launch

last May of Buy and Fly to the trade press. RPPR was brought on board

last week to launch the product to the consumer.

The agency was appointed after a process in which Crompton held meetings

with, but did not see formal pitches from, three other agencies.

’It is the same core team that worked on Air Miles for three years,’

said Palmer. ’We know a lot about the loyalty scheme market from that

time.’
