RPPR, which until earlier this year handled PR for Air Miles, has
picked up the account for its main market rival.
The agency, created by the merger of Rosalyn Palmer PR and Hill Murray
Rogerson three months ago, lost the Air Miles business to Jackie Cooper
PR in January. It has now been hired by Buy and Fly, Air Miles largest
competitor, to handle consumer PR on annual fees of more than pounds
The account will be headed by agency MD Rosalyn Palmer and senior
account manager Sarah Neale. They report to Michael Crompton, chairman
of Landround, the AIM-listed travel promotions firm which runs Buy and
Crompton, together with sales director Tina Mills handled the launch
last May of Buy and Fly to the trade press. RPPR was brought on board
last week to launch the product to the consumer.
The agency was appointed after a process in which Crompton held meetings
with, but did not see formal pitches from, three other agencies.
