Nescafe has hired Good Relations to handle public relations for its

entire range of drinks.

Working for Nescafe Beverages Division, Ann Fossey, deputy managing

director of Good Relations heads the account, reporting to Don Howat,

category marketing manager.

PR for Nescafe was previously handled by Impact PR and Red Rooster

Beauty and Consumer PR, which still works on youth projects.

There was a competitive pitch for the account, which did not include the

incumbents.

Howat said of the decision to appoint Good Relations: ’It brings the

Nescafe portfolio under one roof, and aligns our PR communications with

our marketing strategy.’

Good Relations will work on Nescafe’s portfolio of instant coffee brands

such as Nescafe Gold Blend, which has recently undergone a facelift,

Nescafe Original and the Ultra Premium range, including Kenjara,

Espresso and Alta Rica. It has also recently added an organic product to

its range.

The team will also work on the chilled, coffee-flavoured milk drink

Nescafe ice, which was launched this year with a pounds 5.4 million

advertising campaign.

As well as handling consumer PR, Good Relations will work on trade media

campaigns and promote the ’out-of-home’ sector - including office

suppliers, contract caterers, wholesalers and restaurants.
