Energy firm M&N Wind Power, which develops and runs wind farms in

North America, has hired Harrison Cowley to mount an international PR

campaign.

M&N, which is investing in PR for the first time, appointed Harrison

Cowley last week following a UK search.

The account, which carries a six-figure fee for the first 12 months, is

for consumer and business-to-business PR.

Consumers will be targeted with the benefits of ’clean’ electricity

while investors will hear of attractive profits through investing in

wind power projects.

Last year, while working for the British Wind Energy Association,

Harrison Cowley won the IPR Sword of Excellence for its issues

management campaign ’Turning on to Windpower’.

The campaign was aimed at consumers and the business community to

promote the business and environmental benefits of wind farming.

M&N, which is a joint venture between Danish firm NEG Micon and Japanese

company Nichimen Corporation, has been operating in Europe for the past

five years. Its main competitor energy firm is Enron.
