PUBLIC SECTOR: Anchor Trust picks Rae to head UK comms

The leading UK provider of care and housing services for the elderly, Anchor Trust, has appointed James Rae to head its UK-wide corporate communications team at its Altrincham office near Manchester. Rae joins the agency from the North British Housing Association and replaces Charles Barker, who is now communications and corporate strategy director of Housing 21. Rae will report to corporate development director Paul Johnson, and lead the communications team, which is to relocate from its current offices in Oxford. The 12-strong team is in charge of media relations, design and print, conferences and exhibitions and all areas of communication to its 10,000 staff, 55,000 customers and members of the association.
