Manchester United plc and sports and leisure group ENIC have moved

their financial PR to Holborn PR, following John Bick’s transfer to the

agency from Financial Dynamics.

Bick left Financial Dynamics to become executive director at Holborn

last week. Holborn was set up by his brother David last year.

However, Financial Dynamics will continue to work on the Manchester

United account, with chief executive Nick Miles as strategic consultant

alongside Bick.

The Manchester United account is something of a talisman for John

Bick.

He first worked on it at the time of the club’s flotation in 1991 while

he was at Brunswick. When he moved to Financial Dynamics in 1995, the

client moved in the same direction.

ENIC became a Financial Dynamics client in late 1997. It holds stakes in

a number of football clubs, including Scottish side Glasgow Rangers,

Greek team AEK Athens, Italian Vicenza and Czech outfit Slava Prague, as

well as in the leisure and retail sector.

David Bick, chief executive of Holborn PR, said: ’If clients want to go

in one direction, you are not going to argue with them.’

Holborn will carry out a full financial communications program with

financial press liaison and investor relations to analysts. Both

contracts are held on a retainer basis.
