BORDER LINES: BRUSSELS - EC combats child sex tourism

The European Commission has appointed Belgian PR consultancy Strat&Com to help plan and assess public information campaigns designed to combat child sex tourism. The agency will work with two non-governmental organisations on projects aimed at airline staff and passengers, travel agents and tourists. It will try to raise awareness of the issue among business travellers and tourists visiting known child sex tourism destinations. Strat&Com, which pitched against three other agencies for the work, will advise on communications strategies for future initiatives.
