Diary: Connect and GPC may have a Millbank reunion

News reaches me that Connect Public Affairs and GPC Market Access,

until this year sister agencies within Omnicom-owned GPC, may be

reunited - physically if not spiritually.

Connect moved to Millbank Tower, more famously known as the home of the

Labour Party, earlier this year, and Market Access is now considering

relocating there too.

In March I mentioned that Market Access, following its merger with

public policy consultancy Prima, was bursting out of its Sanctuary town

house offices and in need of a larger, open plan space. The hulk of

Millbank Tower, dominating the London skyline and within walking

distance of Parliament, is an obvious choice.

John Dickie, Market Access managing director, tells me: ’It’s one of the

things we are looking at but no decision has been made. If we could sort

everything out we would be keen to move there.’

Even so Gill Morris, Connect’s managing director and one of the driving

forces behind the agency’s management buy-out from GPC last January,

need not worry. The sheer size of Millbank may mean that she will only

bump into her former colleagues every couple of months.
