BORDER LINES: BRUSSELS - Corporation of London hires

The Corporation of London has switched its Belgian public affairs account from GPC Market Access to Shandwick after a competitive pitch (PR Week 16 January). The Corporation, which represents the City’s interests in Europe, has changed the focus of its Brussels lobbying from local government issues to matters which affect the City as a financial centre. Shandwick already handles UK public affairs for the Corporation. Tony Halmos, PR director at the Corporation, said: ’We want to make sure nothing happens in Brussels to affect the standing of the City.’
