DIARY: Who could resist this opportunity to own a house in the country?

Look, I don’t want readers to think they can flog their mountain bikes, 1988 editions of the IPR handbook or unused wedding dresses through this column but, if anyone wants a picturesque 300-year-old Devonian cottage with country garden, office, four bedrooms and a double garage, I know a man who can: viz, Nigel Burt, new communications manager at Ricardo Consulting Engineers.

Look, I don’t want readers to think they can flog their mountain bikes,

1988 editions of the IPR handbook or unused wedding dresses through this

column but, if anyone wants a picturesque 300-year-old Devonian cottage

man who can: viz, Nigel Burt, new communications manager at Ricardo

Consulting Engineers.

Spotting last week’s diary item about Ludgate’s Richard Pollen putting

his pounds 1.5 million Surrey estate on the market, Burt called up to

ask whether PR Week might be looking to diversify into the property

market.

He says of the cottage: ‘It’s unmissable. People should be snapping it

up.’

Unable to do anything but admire his cheek, and in no way swayed by his

promise of two per cent commission, his number is: 01364 73510.
