Infopress has wrapped up pounds 120,000 in fees from the British

Fibreboard Packaging Association to run an awareness campaign on the

benefits of fibreboard.

The work is part and parcel of a larger pounds 300,000 marketing

programme, on which Infopress will work alongside advertising agency

Primary Contact.

‘Initially we will be targeting packaging buyers, retailers and

wholesale groups,’ said Infopress managing director Tricia Boyd.

‘We will be telling them of the benefits that people have perhaps

forgotten about, such as fibreboard’s versatility, cost benefits and

environmental advantages.’

Independent marketing consultant Tom Brannan advised the British

Fibreboard Packaging Association on the appointment of Infopress.

The business was not put out to pitch, with the agency securing the win

on the back of past ‘informal’ links with the British Fibreboard

Packaging Association.

‘Infopress had a good strategic view of the business and I needed

someone I could trust to get results fairly quickly,’ said Brannan.

David Henderson, director of the association, added that the aim of the

campaign was to ‘state the case for fibreboard and position it as the

natural first choice for packaging.’
